Marquee Youth Stage: Empowering Creativity and Confidence

A great place to learn and grow self-confidence

For over 14 years, Marquee Youth Stage in St. Charles has been a cornerstone for creativity, confidence, and community in the Fox Valley. Founded in 2011 by educator and artistic director Connie Flores, Marquee offers inclusive performing arts programs for children and teens ages 4-18, making theater accessible for all skill levels and economic backgrounds.

Connie’s passion for theater began in childhood, inspired by her brother’s school performances. After studying theater education and teaching in public schools, she recognized a need for dedicated youth theater opportunities. This led to Marquee becoming a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, ensuring young performers could experience the transformative power of live theater.

Programs Designed for Every Stage

Marquee Youth Stage offers tailored programs for budding performers, including:

  • Weekly theater classes for beginners.

  • Full-scale productions with immersive rehearsals.

  • The Musical Theatre Conservatory, providing formal training in acting, singing, and dance.

State-of-the-Art Facility

Located at 220 N. Randall Road, Marquee’s new expanded home features:

  • A 202-seat ADA-accessible theater with a proscenium stage.

  • A versatile black-box space equipped with marley dance flooring.

These modern spaces also support community rentals, establishing Marquee as a hub for creative expression.

A Community-Driven Mission

Beyond performances, Marquee provides:

  • Birthday party hosting with theatrical fun.

  • Community outreach for scouts and local youth groups.

  • Service projects that instill life lessons in teamwork and leadership.

Looking Ahead

Marquee’s vision includes a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a robust year-round performance calendar, and a red-carpet gala showcasing talented young artists. Their focus on sustaining and securing their new space ensures a lasting home for the arts in St. Charles.

Parents and residents are invited to explore the magic of Marquee Youth Stage. Whether enrolling in programs, attending a show, or touring the facility, Marquee welcomes you with open arms.
